How this estimate is calculated

We take the rewards stakers actually received over the epochs of the last 30 days, per year, after validators' fees — the network average, or one validator's own record. Then we scale it to your amount and period: amount × yearly rate × days ÷ 365. Rewards on Solana are paid once per epoch, about every 1–2 days; the estimate doesn't add compounding.

Why two validators with the same "APY" pay different amounts

Most sites show one commission number. Your rewards also depend on the validator's MEV commission, whether it runs Jito at all, and how often it's offline. That's why the validator mode uses what its stakers actually received, not an advertised rate.

What can change the number

  • The network's inflation rate slowly goes down each year.
  • MEV tips rise and fall with trading activity.
  • Your validator can change its fees or go offline.
  • Stake activates and deactivates at epoch boundaries, so a new stake starts earning after the next epoch.

Questions

Over the last 30 days the network paid stakers about 4.83% a year after validators' fees. On 100 SOL that's about 4.83 SOL a year. Rates change every epoch, so treat it as an estimate, not a promise.

Rewards are added to your stake account each epoch and are staked automatically from the next one, so they do grow slowly. This calculator leaves compounding out to keep the estimate conservative.

There's a small minimum plus a one-time deposit that keeps the stake account open, returned when you close it. Check the current figures in your wallet before staking.

Wallets often show a projected or advertised rate. We show what stakers actually received over the last 30 days, after fees, so the numbers can differ.
